holy crap you can buy a 1660 super for a non-scalper price
https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1660-super-gv-n166sgaming-6gd/p/N82E16814932295

I paid $25 more for a 2060 that can use DLSS, but it is nice that it’s not 1.5x ~ 2.0x MSRP.

i'm a super criminal

Apparently Moore’s Law Is Dead doesn’t know the definition of the word “flood”.

If it rains a lot (nVidia shipping a lot of excess supply) and it’s all absorbed by the land without runoff (bought by scalpers and gamers at above MSRP) then that’s not a flood - that’s just making the soil wet (servicing but not satisfying demand).

A flood would be that there were so many cards shipped that prices would be at or below MSRP and they were available to regular ass people who don’t stock drop chase and can stroll into a store / go to Amazon/NewEgg and add to cart whenever.
