States that have done better than Florida as measured by COVID deaths per 1,000,000 people since January 22nd, 2020 (26):
KS, OH, DE, KY, WV, DC, CA, MD, MO, MT, WI, MN, VI, WY, NC, ID, CO, NE, NH, WA, UT, OR, MN, AK, VT, HI

For once, FL is average

Looking at the top 50 countries in the world ordered by deaths per 1,000,000 population since 22 January 2020 we see that the following countries have done worse than the US (17):
Peru, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Brazil, Columbia, Slovakia, Argentina, Belgium, Slovenia, Italy, Paraguay, Croatia, Poland, and the UK

The following countries have done better (32):
Chile, Spain, France, Uruguay, Portugal, The EU as an aggregate, Lithuania, Panama, Moldova, Armenia, Sweden, Georgia, Latvia, Switzerland, Kosovo, Austria, Lebanon, Netherlands, Ireland, Jordan, Costa Rica, Estonia, Bahrain, Serbia, West Bank and Gaza, Israel, Turkey, Kuwait, Cyprus, Qatar, and The United Arab Emirates, World in Aggregate
